8 yr 10 months

1st day of school was amazing!!! I was so excited to go and I was more excited to have a normal routine and get to learning again… I have my school and my teachers!! Can’t wait to see what all I learn this year.. Daisy has not started school yet apparently her school was delayed so she takes me to school and picks me up. We run and play and then I go to my room when I need my much needed break from Play..

Daddy and Mummy took me to Chattanooga to the aquarium the first size was boring and I was done and showed out pretty good but we headed to the shark side and I was worried it would be like the first side and decided to kick off and throw my shoes ! I was major protesting. Knew daddy couldn’t help mummy bc of his arm and I’m too big so I thought maybe I’d get my way. Mummy said Liam we have to go potty I was really showing out but I went to bathroom and showed out some more . Finally upstairs and mummy called for reinforcements not sure what that meant was not sure I wanted to wait around but she had ahold of me in the corner . We waited for what seemed like forever and a police lady named Hannah showed up I was like oh no I’m in real trouble mummy called in security. But she brought a wheel chair for me and took me to the staff elevators and helped me get inside out of the heat and to the sharks . I was cooling off and happy not having to walk . I got to look at sharks and Hannah brought me a shark to take home with me . She was so sweet . I was a lot happier and mummy made a new friends see my fit helped her make a friend and probably a friend that needed her as much as she needed a new friend. I bring people together . Guess I’m not super proud of my attitude but I’m happy I got to enjoy the sharks and got over it ! And that she didn’t give in and take me home .

We went to truck thought I was getting to go back to relax but nope they had another place in mind so off we go to discover more … I was still not in the best mood but they got me another wheel chair to help me out. Nice to not have to walk but I can actually do some of the stuff . I was interested but didn’t really want them to know. But then I got to playing with a few things . I enjoyed it some but honestly wanted to leave. We finally got out of there and they took me to truck finally!!!! But nope that wasn’t it !!! They moved to another parking lot and made me walk more but this time it was for food. We found a pub or daddy found a pub we walked to it but after we got there found out I couldn’t go in bc I was not 21 . I don’t drink just want tea and fish and chips but 21 and up . A lot of the places were 21 and up. We finally found a place called sticky fingers… not so sure about this bc I don’t want sticky fingers. But we went in and it smelled good. They have tea so we can be seated !!! 🤪. And they have Hot dogs and sweet potatoes casserole and brisket so I think I’ll like this place !!! Got our food and I ate all my hot dog most of my sweet potatoes and all of my tea and mummy tea. After we left we went to a candy store. I don’t like a lot of candy but was very excited about the cupcake store. I met a nice guy he was blind he had a stick he walked with Mum said that was his eyes like my device is my voice . He was interested in me too he said hi and so did I. He asked how old I was and was interested in my voice . Finally after I picked out cupcakes and made a new friend we were on our way out of the city for the day. Daddy and mummy surprised me since I had a rough am and we went to Buc-ees . I was so excited I got a new Bucee with a shirt for the Georgia Buc-ee. Got some new shirts for school since that is all I wear mummy didn’t buy me new shirts this year . I don’t want anything but Buc-ee. We left after all my dreams were filled and headed back for bath and bed. Excited for Little Debbie tomorrow .

Got to a little Debbie park and walked all over and found my favorite snacks in the park. Honestly think mum was tricking me to get me out and walking but she won that one bc it as fun finding all my snacks in the park. After the park they took me to the store where I could buy my favorite snacks . I got oatmeal pies, Swiss cake rolls and birthday cake cake. Even picked out unicorn cakes for Daisy those are her favorite and she doesn’t eat mine if she has hers .

My auntie Mary and Vicky came to see me. We had a great time. She is a lot of fun. She helped mummy with shirts too. We got to go swimming with sissy and bubba and mummy and Mary made shirts for me and my Nap Trip. She is going to help us … that will help mummy a lot. Mummy had a urology appt and auntie Mary came back and stayed wih Daisy and I so mummy could go to her appt I love my aunt Mary she sits and plays with us !!! Wish they still lived closer !!

We got daddy to use my Galileo for some of his old man pains and I was teaching him how to use it properly…. I got to see my favorite Dr Thomas . She is sooo beautiful and she was helping mummy with my mystery attitude: one good thing about being non verbal is I keep her trying to figure things out … maybe I should just tell her what is going on but where is the fun in that .
I am trying to learn undressing and dressing . I haven’t been as productive as I would like to but I decided I would practice and I took all my Buc-ees off the shelves and undressed them and I unmade my whole bed . Now the hard part was trying to put it all back on and guess what ??? It comes off way easier than it goes back on…. And I realized I have mummy to fix this mess I made ! She wasn’t as excited to put their clothes back on and put them up as I was taking them all off.

I got a new fire helmet tin with Buc-ee and run with liam . One day I’ll have a helmet to wear . I got a few new patches this month.. one from City of Dickson from Chief Lyles… I am going to go take him a shirt to thank him when he gets back to work..

The weather has cooled off and Mummy is excited it is almost fall , I am enjoying going outside more.. I love to watch her mow and like sitting on my bench that her friend Kristi dad (my friend Deklan grandpa) made for me.it is sooo cool.. I am sad the weather is cooler b/c that it means less pool time though, I have enjoyed being in the pool since I can stand now.

I have been working hard for Hilary and getting a lot more sounds, but I have also had a mood this month and have showed them what I do when I decide I am just not in the mood… I don’t normally do things like this in public but sometimes I just don’t want to do things and I feel it is time to show people that since I have been so easy going I am getting bigger and realize I can show people how I feel … EVEN if they don’t totally understand it. I am losing Deborah my OT and getting a new OT this week.. Mummy doesn’t come in for some of these b/c her and Daisy go do whatever her a Daisy do while I work.

In Music I have learned to play Twinkle Twinkle and am working on Mary Had a little lamb.. I am really getting good at this and I love to play. I make my whole schedule with Miss Kate every time we go in and her and I have a BLAST!!

School has been interesting and yet fun.. I have been a little different this year at school, but still very focused and I want to learn!! I don’t want to go to the bathroom but they make me hourly …. I can take a stack of cards and put in order 1-50 with just about NO help b/c I know I can count even if you can’t understand me ! My teachers understand me..

I am working on my ASL with Miss Julie and Miss Payton is trying to make me use verbs when I use my AAC (like Miss Hilary but I know I can do what I want there 🙂 ). Miss Payton wants me to use the keys to find the word but I would much rather spell and type everything out b/c I am smart and I want them to know it!

We started back at Saddle up.. Missed my Miss Stephanie!!! WE went outside the first lesson I was super duper excited and had a GREAT day!!! Love my horse RITA..

Kleefstra awareness is coming up and Daddy and Mummy have been downtown and working with people to turn Dickson more purple than last year!! We met this sweet lady named Angela and she read me a book…. I still love books.. Love when Daddy reads to me at night. We read my little bible .. if we were reading like we should I would be done with it in a year, but daddy had his set backs with his shoulder. He tells me all the time “Liam DAddy’s should hurts “ I always say OUCH…. He thinks. It is funny I guess….

I like to walk around saying ooooh Yeah!!

I love my church Family!! They are all trying to get shirts from mummy to wear for me on Kleefstra Awareness day!! I am grateful they all love me.. it’s nice to have people support us, I know it makes mummy feel good to have a big group of people to love us!! I Show Sis Blunt How to handle services and help her to keep on schedule .. she is like mummy and likes to talk so I help her to keep the service moving!! I need my offering time to give so I can be blessed and I definitely love my alter call so I can get anointed and prayed for and make daddy get prayed for so he will stop saying his Shoulder hurts! ..

I had appt with my Urologist and got a scan of my kidneys … they look great they said my kidneys are measuring normal still an I am emptying my bladder like I should.. WHATEVER that means.. I just go to the bathroom.. But they did say I had a lot of poop in me .. guess when they say you are full of poop this is

what it means!

I still love the song Dance Monkey and I am now getting where I want to undress my Buc-ees and unmake my bed to see if I can redo it and I have yet to be able to so I leave the mess for mummy to figure out!!

I have been a little cheeky this month in ways I am typically not but I am growing up and trying to show a little independence, but yet showing that when I don’t want to do something I will let them know!!!

The funniest thing I learned so far is that Marines, Army and Air Force love to have names for each other. Sissy and Bubba taught me that Mr Greg would rather be called “Chair Force” so. I always say Mr. Greg Chair Force.. not 100% why he would like this he was in the “Air Force” But he laughs…. So I tell everyone in the school on my talker Mr. Greg Chair Force. Officer Liberty thinks it is great and gives me a high five.. (he was Army) …

I am still pretty known at school for badges and being silly so I guess my little preteen mood hasn’t affected me there yet.. Just at home…. We were going to therapy the other day and I unbuckled my seat belt.. mummy was not happy with me…. She pulled over and buckled me back up.. WE started going again and got down the road and I decided I would do it again!! She was really not happy this time and she spanked me and told me that it would hurt me in an accident and I had to keep the seat belt over.. I have never had a spanking.. it kind of startled me a little .. but now I like to tell her spanking butt and laugh.. so I don’t unbuckle anymore but like to tease about it… (didn’t hurt) not like she would REALLY spank me right… or whatever it really is but honestly I am not going to try her and unbuckle again.. she scared me more with I might DIE! Daisy has been staying at the house more, which is fun at times but then there are times I just wanna be left alone. Daisy likes to go go go, and sometimes I don’t. She has a lot more energy than me and I have energy . Although her and I do have a good time running back-and-forth laughing in the house I just prefer to play inside than out! I do like that I get to see my Bubba and sissy more . Sissy Joy is my go to for putting my transformers together. She is awesome at it even better than Daddy.. I still love transformers superheroes, and my Bucee!!
It’s been a nice first month back to school. I think can’t wait to see what the rest of the year hold. I have trip to Texas for Napa next month and Kleefstra Awareness so will be another busy month!
